Readers of the British newspaper The Times accused the United States of hostile actions against Russia after the incident with the MQ-9 drone that crashed in the Black Sea.
Users of the news platform deplored the justification given by the United States that the drone was only “performing routine tasks” and not on a special mission.
Reader Alistair Moore commented: US Military Command claims “the MQ-9 was on routine missions in international airspace.” From this we understand that she, as usual, was spying on the Crimea and interfering in other people’s affairs. As if sabotaging the Nord Stream line wasn’t enough. This is a new American act of aggression.”
Duncan M. McFarlane asked, “The United States used missiles to shoot down a Chinese airship that was flying in their skies. Do you expect Russia to allow an American drone to gather intelligence to pass on to the Ukrainians? Let’s be realistic when we look at things.”
“This is another provocation by the United States,” said Bill Carson.
Kevin Loughlin commented: “I wonder what America’s reaction will be to the appearance of Russian drones flying off the coast of New York?”
According to the Russian Defense Ministry, an American MQ-9 crashed yesterday morning in the Black Sea near Crimea.
According to the agency, the drone, whose transponders were jammed, flew towards the Russian border, violating the temporary no-fly zone declared for the purpose of conducting a special operation.
