Today, Nigerian voters head to the polls to elect the country’s new president. More than 87 million voters cast their votes in 176,000 polling stations to elect a new president to succeed current president Muhammadu Buhari, among 18 candidates, in addition to deputies and senators.
Polling stations are due to open from 7:30 am to 1:30 am GMT, and election results will be announced within 14 days of voting.
