Egyptian boxer Ramez Hossam has died at the age of 17 due to a cerebral hemorrhage, according to what the Railway Club in Tanta announced yesterday, Wednesday. On respirators at Tanta University Hospital, to no avail.
While grief prevailed among the residents of the city of Tanta in Gharbia province over the death of player Ramez Hossam, his funeral and burial took place in his hometown in Cairo province.
The railway club in Tanta witnessed an incident that occurred during the start of the Republican Boxing Championship, where a decisive duel took place between the injured and another boxer, ending with the first defeat by knockout last Thursday.
Ramez was able to stand after the announcement of his defeat, soon fell to the ground and was taken by ambulance to the hospital, where he breathed his last on Wednesday.
