Yesterday, the General Secretariat of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf, represented by the head of the sector of the economy, Abdulmalik bin Saleh Al-Sheikh, took part in a round table meeting of GCC trade ministers with His Excellency the Director General of the World Trade Organization, to discuss via videoconference the issue of the success of the thirteenth Ministerial conference World Trade Organization and the role of GCC members in the World Trade Organization. The meeting was devoted to a number of important issues. , including a fisheries agreement, e-commerce, food security, agricultural negotiations, organizational reform and resolution of the Appellate Body suspension crisis.
This is in preparation for the Thirteenth Ministerial Conference of the World Trade Organization (MC13), which is scheduled to be held in the United Arab Emirates, in Abu Dhabi, in the first quarter of 2024 AD.
