Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba criticized NATO, accusing it of “weakness” and not providing sufficient support to Ukraine.
In a speech broadcast on Ukrainian television channels on Friday, Kuleba said, “The Ukrainian people believed that NATO was strong and the European Union was weak and hesitant… The union showed its solidity and strength and imposed unprecedented sanctions.”
“There is nothing NATO can do, it leaves everything to the allies to take steps at the level of bilateral relations,” he said.
And “this is the weakness the alliance will sadly pay for,” he thought.
NATO reportedly held an emergency ministerial meeting on the situation in Ukraine on Friday.
NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg has announced that NATO does not intend to impose a no-fly zone on Ukraine as requested by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
