Yesterday, Monday, Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al Faisal, President of the Arab Football Association, announced the launch of the King Salman Club Cup for the Arab Clubs Championship in its next edition scheduled for this year. .. I am delighted and my fellow members of the Board of Directors of the Federation announce the award of the King Salman Club Cup to the 2023 Arab Club Championship.
The Arab Football Association forestalled the move by posting a tweet announcing the return of the championship without revealing more details about the next version as it posted an image of the championship’s logo and commented “wait for us”.
This comes after 3 seasons of stopping the tournament as the last version was in the 2019-2019 season and the Moroccan Raja won his title through Al Ittihad 3-4 on penalties after a 4-4 draw in the original and extra time of the match which took place on August 21, 2021 at the Prince Abdullah Moulay Complex stadium in Rabat, the capital of Morocco.
