Today, the Royal Saudi Air Force team won the Football League Championship Cup (Halls) at the 18th Armed Forces Sports Games in the first round, which was held at King Faisal Air Base in the northern sector.
In the final match, the Air Force team defeated the Ground Forces team by three goals to two.
The Air Defense Troops team took third place, beating the Navy team with a score of 5:3.
Director of the Hospital King Salman for the Armed Forces in the Northwest, Major General Dr. Attia bin Muhammad Al-Zahrani presented the Air Force team with the championship cup and gold medals.
Silver medals were won by the players of the Ground Forces team, bronze – by the teams of the Air Defense Forces.
Major General Dr. Attia Al-Zahrani awarded the referee, the tournament’s top scorer, best player and best goalkeeper.
It is noteworthy that the tournament, which is attended by more than three thousand athletes representing the Ground Forces, the Air Force, the Navy, the Air Defense Forces, the Strategic Missile Forces, the Main Directorate of Health, will be held in three stages in the city, the first stage in the northwestern region (Tabuk), the second stage in the eastern region (Dhahran), and the third stage in the northern region (Khafr al-Batin).
Includes team and individual games, namely: archery, swimming, karate, volleyball, football, soccer, cross country, basketball, handball, athletics, table tennis, taekwondo, judo, weightlifting.
