The evaluation focused on measuring the rate of progress in the management standard in terms of rules and procedures to achieve the highest standards of excellence in artistic achievement, the standard of sports performance and excellence, the standard of participation in sports in terms of increasing community participation in sports events and competitions. , the standard for participation in the national economy and the promotion of contributions to culture and heritage, as well as a criterion for promoting the expansion of sports tourism opportunities.
In the context of the announcement, the Saudi Arabian Olympic and Paralympic Committee confirmed that a number of goals that have contributed to the development of the technical performance of sports federations have been achieved by establishing minimum baseline requirements in the technical capability standard, and that each federation will set technical performance targets to meet them in its artistic work on a daily basis, with differences in the quality of performance between federations, either due to the activities of the federation, its popularity, or the number of its practitioners.
The Strategy Development Team has held more than 50 meetings with sports federations to ensure that the set indicators are compatible with the program so that these meetings achieve a clear strategy for the federation, organizational structure and communication plan in 100%, in addition to conducting inspection tours of sports venues with the aim of verification of the degree of their compliance with international standards and strategic goals.
The number of players registered in 54 federations and committees was more than 35,000 players, including 678 female players, and 172 new elite players, including 74 new elite players, accounting for 43%, and more than 41,000 community groups, at a rate of 22%.
The number of tournaments and competitions organized in the third quarter of 2022 reached 170 local competitions and 26 international competitions.
At the referee level, the number of national referees reached 2015 male referees and 395 female referees, while the number of Saudi Arabian coaches reached 3227 coaches and 295 female coaches.
