The Federal Department of Energy said a major fault in Pakistan’s power grid led to power outages across the country early Monday morning.
And she went on to tweet that she started working at the network’s stations in Warsak, Islamabad and Peshawar.
The fault caused a power outage in Pakistan’s capital, Islamabad, and other major cities such as Karachi and Lahore, according to the News website in Pakistan.
The country’s main electricity supply was cut off at around 7:30 a.m. local time, which the Energy Department said was due to a widespread power outage.
“This is the second time in three months that a major power outage has occurred in the country,” the website says.
