An association in Kayseri organizes conference tours and others events for students from Africa, Asia and Europe who study in universities in the province thanks to the Türkiye scholarships of the presidency of Overseas Turks and Related Communities (YTB). Visits and events both help their integration into Turkish society and help they acquire a deeper knowledge of the country. the tours cover several destinations in Kayseri, from Kültepe, a ancient rules, history house where the famous Ottoman architect Sinan was born and the historic “bird mansions”, a 19th-century group of decorative birdhouses in the district of Gesi, as well as other towns. Association chairman Ali Dursun told Anadolu Agency (AA) on Wednesday that they organized 16 different events including tours for 300 students from 112 countries who attend four universities in Kayseri. “They are, in a way, our cultural envoys. They talk about what they saw here when they go back to their countries,” he said.
Baiaman Esenakunov, a junior at the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Erciyes, said Anatolia is home to important historical sites and he would definitely recommend Turkey to his fellow Kyrgyz. Esenakunov said he visited Ephesus, Alanya Citadel, historical sites in Mersin as well as Konya, home of the famous Sufi philosopher Mevlana Jalaladdin Rumi.
Maliki Mustafa, a Ph.D. student of Togo, says he talks about the cultural and historical sites of Turkey all the time he visits in son country and he “absolutely” recommends Istanbul, Kayseri and Konya.
Rimshan Muhammad Rafik from Sri Lanka said he was particularly proud to visit the sites with tracks of Islamic history. “People in Sri Lanka is particularly curious about the Ottoman heritage in Anatolia. I pass on to them what I have seen. Continued people from Sri Lanka are eager to visit Turkey, especially the places like Şanlıurfa and Mardin where the prophets once lived,” he said.
Ismira Julfayeva, a future nurse who studies at the University of Erciyes, said that they both had the opportunity to see the historical places of Turkey and learn about its culture and customs.

The Chinese national got engaged to local tour guide Burhan Güney, who she met while studying Chinese in Tianjin, and is one of the volunteer tourism envoys. Her and son fiancé are promoting the region with their videos.
She told AA that she first visited Cappadocia in 2016 as a tourist and fell in love. I especially liked Cappadocia and Göbeklitepe,” she said, referring to another historic site in Şanlıurfa, in southeastern Turkey.
