Eduard Basurin, Deputy Commander of the People’s Forces of the Donetsk Republic, said that the Russian army, in cooperation with the Donetsk forces, organized two humanitarian corridors to leave the inhabitants of Mariupol.
“For all civilians who have expressed their desire to temporarily leave to a safe place, the Russian army, in cooperation with the command of the Donetsk forces, organizes two humanitarian corridors for this purpose,” Basurin said. According to him, the two lanes can be used to leave the city by March 2.
“On some parts of the E58 highway, we guarantee the safety of movement in two directions, in the direction of the Zaporozhye province and towards the Russian territory: in the west direction: Mariupol – Mangos, in the east direction: Mariupol – Bizymenoye,” he said.
Basurin stressed that Russia is ready to receive and accommodate citizens from Mariupol.
Basurin warned that fanatical nationalist groups continue to commit atrocities and use weapons distributed at the behest of Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky to rob and kill civilians.
