The Egyptian Ministry of the Interior announced today the seizure of more than 18 million drug pills that were hidden in 3 containers in the port of Alexandria overlooking the Mediterranean Sea.
The ministry added on its official Facebook page: “The 34-ton cargo was on board a ship that docked at a port in the north of the country on a transit voyage before it sailed for another country that it did not specify. The ministry said: “The seized discs are valued at around 1.5 billion Egyptian pounds ($61.22 million),” Reuters reported.
