US President John Biden today met with his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping on the sidelines of the G20 summit in Bali, Indonesia.
During the meeting, they discussed ways to strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries, as well as discussed regional and international issues of mutual interest.
In a press statement during his meeting with the Chinese President, the President of the United States stressed that Washington is ready to work with Beijing and keep open the ways of communication between the two sides, pointing out the need for cooperation between China and the United States to achieve their interests and the international community and the whole world, which expects the two countries to play an important role in addressing climate change and food insecurity.
For his part, the Chinese President said: “We must formulate the right path for relations between Beijing and Washington, find the right direction and develop them.”
