Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky said that in accordance with the martial law in force in the country, a number of Ukrainians experienced in combat operations will be released.
In his speech to the audience, Zelensky stated that all sanctions will be lifted during this time so that they will take part in the war.
Zelensky added: “A morally difficult decision was made – under martial law, Ukrainians with real combat experience will be released and released from prison so that they can make up for their guilt, and all sanctions will be lifted so that they can fight in the operations of the Ukrainian army in the Donbass.”
Previously, the Kyiv authorities had invited foreign mercenaries to fight alongside Ukrainian forces. “Foreigners who want to defend Ukraine within the framework of the UN Regional Defense Corps can inspect the Ukrainian embassies in their countries of residence,” Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba said in a statement yesterday.
