Chairman of the Transitional Sovereign Council of Sudan, Lieutenant General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, praised the efforts of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to seriously address the effects of climate change in the Middle East.
In his speech at the Green Middle East Initiative Summit held today in Sharm el-Sheikh, Al-Burhan stressed the importance of holding a second summit to address climate change, pointing out that this initiative in its previous, current and future versions, is an appropriate scientific and practical mechanism to handle the negative effects of climate change and preserve the environment.
The Chairman of the Transitional Sovereign Council of Sudan reaffirmed his country’s commitment to the programs and projects of the initiative and the provision of all the natural resources of Sudan in the form of land and water for the implementation of plans and projects of these initiatives, which are of transnational interest to the countries and peoples of the region, emphasizing Sudan’s commitment to the plans and programs of “Green Transformation” and making the country’s natural resources available to the Green Shift mechanism.
