The general championship of the 2022 Girls’ School Football League, which was held at the Kingdom’s provincial level for public education schools, has ended, where 39 high school teams qualified for the regional championship stage, while the participation of the primary and middle school teams was limited to the general championship stage.
48,324 players participated in the Girls’ School Football League General Championship in its first edition, which is run by the Ministry of Sports in cooperation with the Ministry of Education, 48,324 players representing 4,768 teams from 1,906 public education schools, during which they played 2,353 matches, in 6089 goals were recorded, while the participating school teams were led by 3793 coaches and 637 referees from among the physical education teachers led the matches against the backdrop of daily monitoring by the Supervisory Committee of the School League.
Meanwhile, the district championship qualifying round from high school league round to high school round has begun in several regions, of which 16 teams will be eligible to participate in the Kingdom Girls Elite High School Football Championship, which will be held next December in Jeddah.
