A delegation from the Gulf Arab Development Program (AGFUND), led by HRH Prince Abdulaziz bin Talal, President of AGFUND, will attend the events of the United Nations Conference of the Parties on Climate Change organized in Sharm El Sheikh. Arab Republic of Egypt, from 6 to 18 November 2022.
On the sidelines of the conference, AGFOND, in partnership with the Arab Economic Development Bank in Africa, will host a series of dialogue sessions on financial inclusion, science and technology, smallholder development, women’s empowerment, and the role of the private sector and civil society organizations in climate action, as well as organizing other sessions to present the projects that have received the Prince Talal International Human Development Award in the area of “climate action” and the possibility of their expansion and application in other countries.
Participation of (AGFUND) and the Arab Bank includes the organization of the Blue Zone Pavilion, which will last 12 days of the conference, during which the activities and partnerships of (AGFUND) and the Arab Bank, spanning almost half a century, with various international, international and regional organizations and government institutions will be considered.
During the conference events, AGFUND is organizing a party next Wednesday at the United Nations Blue Zone. In honor of the winners of the Prince Talal International Human Development Award for Climate Action, the thirteenth Sustainable Development Goal launched in 2021, worth one million USD.

Speakers at the opening of the session include Simon Steele, Executive Secretary of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, Egyptian Minister of the Environment, Dr. Yasmine Fouad, and Dr. Sidi Ould Altah, Director General of the Arab Economic Development Bank for Africa.
The Gulf Arab Development Program (AGFUND) invites stakeholders to nominate projects for the 2022 Prince Talal International Human Development Award in the area of ”decent work and economic growth”, the eighth goal of the Sustainable Development Goals.
