Their Highnesses and Excellencies the Heads of the Olympic Committees of the countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council held the 34th Meeting today at the Headquarters of the General Secretariat in Riyadh under the chairmanship of His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al Faisal, President of the Olympic and Paralympic Committee of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia – President of the current session – in the presence of His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Committee of the National Olympic Committee of the United Arab Emirates, His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, President of the Olympic Committee of the Kingdom of Bahrain, Sheikh Khalid bin, President of the Olympic Committee of the Sultanate of Oman Muhammad Al Zubair and President of the Olympic Committee of the State of Qatar Sheikh Joan bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani and President of the Olympic Committee of the State of Kuwait Sheikh Fahad Nasser Sabah Al Ahmad Al Sabah, with the participation of His Excellency the General Secretary President of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf, Dr. Nayef Falah Mubarak Al-Hajraf.
During this meeting, a number of issues on the agenda were discussed, the most important of which is the implementation of the decisions of the Supreme Council, the adoption of recommendations submitted by the meeting of the Executive Office regarding the Sports Arbitration Commission in the countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council. and the adoption of the final report on the third Gulf Sports Games which were held in the State of Kuwait in May 2022 AD.
Their Highnesses and Excellencies also approved the schedule for the distribution of sports tournaments in the Gulf countries for the next five years and discussed issues of joint international cooperation in the field of sports.
