Former Lebanese MP Fares Saeed said that Hezbollah’s acceptance of the demarcation of the border between Lebanon and Israel is Israel’s recognition, and talk of war after the agreement became consumerist.
In an interview with Al-Arabiya TV, he pointed out that the agreement means providing Israel’s economic security and providing it with an opportunity for long-term economic investment, and this benefits Israel.
Said pointed out that talk of war after that is considered consumerism, since oil exploration companies cannot come to this region unless there are serious guarantees from Iran, the United States, Israel and Hezbollah, which means that in practice, representatives of the nation should be required to study this agreement. . The agreement is in Parliament, similar to what is happening in Israel, as the Israeli political class demands that this draft or agreement be submitted to the Israeli Knesset.”
He continued: “This agreement must be approved by the Lebanese Parliament, because if this agreement is approved, it will bring huge financial returns to the Lebanese state.”
He added that Hezbollah and its successor Iran have guaranteed huge investment areas to Israel in territorial waters, and therefore they are forced to accept that the war with Israel has ended on the Lebanese side, and we should reconsider raising the issue of Hezbollah weapons.
In turn, Lebanese historian Dr. Issam Khalifa revealed the space that Lebanon will lose as a result of the border demarcation agreement with Israel. He said that “Hezbollah officials have donated to Israel an area equivalent to 40% of the area of Lebanon, and that area contains billions of dollars of wealth.” He added that the Lebanese people reject this and we accuse those who sign this agreement of treason,” stressing that the acceptance of the agreement is recognition of Israel.
Hassan Nasrallah emphasized the importance of the agreement on the demarcation of the border with Israel and oil and gas production and said: “Tonight there are no threats or slogans, for “Tonight is joy and zakif”, and as I started, so I will finish, “We want to eat grapes” and we don’t want to strain our muscles.”
In turn, as a continuation of the line of bias, Hamas praised the existing agreement between the Lebanese and Israeli authorities, as well as the position of the Lebanese Hezbollah on this agreement.
