The Eastern Health Authority said the death toll from a Faqous train colliding with a minibus at the intersections of Kafr Akyad village has risen to 3.
Major General Mohamed Salah, Director of Eastern Security, received a notification from Major General Mohamed El Gamsi, Director of Criminal Investigation, that a Faqous train collided with a minibus at Akyad Junction, killing 3 people. and injured 9 others.
Police and ambulance forces moved to the scene of the accident and the first body was taken to the mortuary of the central hospital in Fakus, and 11 injured were taken to the hospital for treatment, but two of the injured died after arriving at the hospital.
Preliminary investigation revealed that the vehicle was trying to cross the Kafr Akyad crossing while the train was moving, resulting in a collision.
