Bournemouth, back in the English Premier League this season, sacked their manager yesterday Tuesday after his side’s heavy nine-goal loss to Liverpool on Saturday.
The team will be temporarily coached by Gary O’Neill, knowing that the team has lost 3 out of four games played this season and is 17th in the standings.
“I would like to express my gratitude to Scott and his coaching staff for the efforts they made while working with us,” said club owner Maxim Demin.
He added: “Our return to the Premier League clubs at the end of last season under Scott will be remembered as the most successful in our history.”
“But in order to continue our development process as a team and as a club, it was necessary that our strategy be coordinated in order to manage the club on an ongoing basis.”
Parker, 41, has publicly criticized the club’s management for not taking the lead in strengthening the team’s ranks following promotion to the Premier League.
