Yesterday, the tenth report of the National Committee to Investigate Allegations of Human Rights Violations in the Temporary Capital of Aden showed that it had tracked and documented 3,609 cases of violations that affected victims from all sides without exception in all governorates, categorized by (30) type of offense since July 1, 2021 AD to July 31, 2022 AD indicating that the total number of victims who died as a result of these offenses was (5151) victims.
The National Committee also explained that its teams, during the monitoring, documentation and investigation processes, heard (9897) witnesses and reported victims, reviewed (9379) documents and reviewed hundreds of photographs and video clips … documenting (905) the killings. and wounding of civilians, resulting in (1293) casualties of 432 civilians, including 72 children and 32 women, for a total of 861 civilians, including 194 children and 105 women, and 171 cases of individual mines, in resulting in 62 deaths, including 8 children and two women, in addition to 176 injured, including 39 children and 6 women. He stressed that the Houthis group is the only one in this kind of violation.
The committee’s report recommends that the international community intensify diplomatic efforts to achieve a comprehensive ceasefire in preparation for a lasting peace based on respect for human rights, the active participation of women, youth and minorities, and increased funding for emergency humanitarian assistance. plans, humanitarian assistance efforts, projects and grants provided by the state, as well as an increase in the level of support provided by the Human Rights Council of the National Investigative Committee in the areas of technical and technical support and advice, in order to ensure that it fulfills its tasks to the fullest.
