American golfer Jessica Korda off to a brilliant start on the opening day of the Saudi Aramco Series of Championships for teams represented by the State Investment Fund, which will be held at the stadium and club La Reserva in Stogrand from 18 to 20 August 2022. This tournament is hosted by Golf Saudi and has a total prize pool of one million US dollars.
On her first visit to Spain, 29-year-old Korda put in an impressive under-11 performance. He also set three Eagles hits to break the court record and equal the record for the lowest level ever set in Women’s European Tour history.
Korda also equaled her career 18-hole record by jumping five strokes to the top ahead of Belgium’s Manon de Rooy and Slovenia’s Pia Babnik.
Korda’s team, which includes Czech Teresa Mallika, Finnish Nora Komulinen and amateur player Malcolm Borvik, managed to lead the team standings with 19 points under par.
“It was a great run, every moment was special and everything went right,” said Korda. “I haven’t had three eagles in my career yet, so I will definitely remember this moment forever.”
