Teams competing in the fourth edition of the 2022 Arab Junior Cup have begun to flock to the Algerian city of Oran, where the Comoros team arrived yesterday and the teams from Saudi Arabia, Morocco and Sudan arrived today.
On Saturday, the teams of Libya, Tunisia, Mauritania and Palestine are scheduled to arrive, on Sunday the teams of Yemen, Lebanon, Syria, Oman and the United Arab Emirates will arrive, then the teams of Egypt and Iraq.
Next Monday there will be a general press conference for the national coaches, which will talk about the readiness of each team for the tournament, which will start next Tuesday with four matches, where the Algerian team will face their Palestinian counterpart, Emirates against Sudan, Tunisia against Libya and Oman against Yemen.
The 2022 Arab Junior Cup is one of the tournaments of the Arab Football Association, which will be hosted by the Algerian Federation from August 23 to September 8 with the participation of the teams of the Emirates, Tunisia, Algeria, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Syria, Iraq, Oman, Palestine, Comoros, Lebanon, Libya, Egypt, Morocco, Mauritania and Yemen.
The first tournament was held in 2011 in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Saudi team crowned their title with the Syrian team finishing second, then the second tournament was held in 2012 in Tunisia and the Tunisian team won the title at the expense of their Iraqi counterpart who won the title in the third edition held in Qatar in 2014 against Saudi Arabia.
