The judge decided to transfer the body to the family while investigations continue to establish the circumstances of the crime and arrest the perpetrators, the ministry said.
The director of the General Directorate of Forensic Medicine, Zaher Haijo, told Sham FM radio station that the girl’s apparent deformity was due to a state of disintegration, “decomposition of the body.” He indicated that death was caused by a blow with a sharp object on the left side of the girl’s head.
