The Egyptian House of Representatives, led by Councilor Dr. Hanafi Gabali, held an emergency meeting today to consider a 13-portfolio cabinet reshuffle at the invitation of Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, after consulting with Egyptian Prime Minister Dr. Hanafi Gabali. Mostafa Madbouli.
At its meeting, the Council approved the upcoming ministerial reshuffles, including the appointment of Dr. Reda Hegazy to the Ministry of Education and Technical Education, Hani Atef Nabhan Sweil to the Ministry of Water and Irrigation, Dr. Khaled Atef Abdel Ghaffar to the Ministry of Health and Population of Egypt, Muhammad Ayman Ahmed Ashour to the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Suha Sameer to the Ministry of Immigration and Egyptians Abroad, and Ahmed Issa Taha Issa Abu Hussein to the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities.
The Council also approved the appointment of Ahmed Samir Saleh to the Ministry of Trade and Industry, Lt. Gen. Muhammad Abbas Hilmi Hashem to the Ministry of Civil Aviation, Hassan Muhammad Hassan Shehata to the Ministry of Manpower, Nevin Youssef Muhammad al-Kilani to the Ministry of Culture, Major General Hisham Abdel Ghani Abdel Aziz to the Ministry of Local Development, Mahmoud Mustafa Kamal Esmat to the Ministry of Public Sector and Mohamed Salah ad-Din to the Ministry of Defense Production.
President Sisi called on the Egyptian parliament to meet to discuss amendments to a number of ministerial portfolios in order to improve the efficiency of the government in some important domestic and foreign affairs that contribute to protecting the interests of the state and its capabilities and directly affect the services provided to the Egyptian citizen.
