His Excellency Adviser to the Royal Court and Overseer General of the Center for Humanitarian Aid and Assistance to King Salman Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Rabia confirmed that the Kingdom’s support for refugees from Ukraine to Poland and neighboring countries is a continuation of its humanitarian efforts to support refugees and victims people in different parts of the world. Dr. Al-Rabia said during a press conference held today at the headquarters of the Kingdom’s Embassy in Poland: “The Kingdom, through the King Salman Relief Center, has provided, through the World Health Organization and the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, medical and housing assistance refugees from Ukraine in the amount of 10 million US dollars, addressed to more than a million people,” he said, expressing the Kingdom’s readiness to support humanitarian efforts to help refugees and those in need anywhere.
His Excellency explained that this visit will discuss ways to intensify relief efforts and a humanitarian response coordination mechanism for refugees, noting that the King Salman Relief Center, in partnership with the United Nations and international organizations, is seeking to develop an effective mechanism to ensure a rapid response to humanitarian crises.
During the conference, Dr. Al-Rabia spoke about the humanitarian and relief projects of the center, which has more than 2,000 projects implemented in 85 countries of the world, pointing out that the projects cover various vital sectors such as food security, health , education, water supply. , environmental sanitation and other important sectors.
