He added that the routine killing of Palestinian children by the occupiers should remind the international community, especially the Security Council, that children are protected under the Fourth Geneva Convention and other provisions of international law, including the Convention on the Rights of the Child: When Palestinian children are entitled to these universal rights and the protection of international law.
He stressed that the repeated bombardments of the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip are clear evidence of the failure of the occupation policy of inhuman siege and aggressive wars, and only lead to more destruction and suffering for civilians, and also highlights the need for immediate international protection. for the Palestinian people.
In his speech, the representative of Palestine to the United Nations warned against the policy of settlement expansion and the announcement by the brutal occupiers of plans to build 2,100 settlement units in East Jerusalem and parts of the occupied territories in order to undermine the integrity of Palestinian land and drastically reduce the Palestinian presence in Jerusalem.
He stressed that the international community, especially the Security Council and the High Contracting Parties to the Fourth Geneva Convention, were fulfilling their responsibilities and using all means and measures under international law to hold Israel, the occupying power, accountable under international law.
