The Saudi Arabian Olympic and Paralympic Committee announced today that it has submitted a request to the Olympic Council of Asia, expressing the Kingdom’s desire to host the 2029 Asian Winter Games at Trogin in Neom, as announced by HRH Crown Prince Mohammed. bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, chairman of the board of directors of NEOM – may God protect him on March 3, 2022.
The request included the presentation of the Kingdom’s ambitious vision to support Trogina in hosting the biggest sporting event of the Asian winter, during which more than 32 Asian countries are expected to participate in the most famous winter competitions, by presenting the future structure. which combines modern technology and the preservation of the scenic nature that distinguishes it as the first country in the west of the continent to host the event after being hosted by Japan, China, South Korea and Kazakhstan since 1986.

It is noteworthy that the executive office of the Olympic Council of Asia will meet in Cambodia in early October next year, before the October 4 convening of the General Assembly of the Olympic Council of Asia, which is considered the supreme body for approving the decision to grant rights to host the Asian Games under various names.
