A delegation of the Saudi Arabian youth handball team is flying to the Republic of Slovenia tomorrow to organize a preparatory camp as part of the third stage of the preparation program for participation in the ninth Asian Championship among youth teams (qualification for the World Junior Championship – Croatia 2023), which is scheduled to be held in the Kingdom of Bahrain in period from 20 to 31 August 2022 AD. The open air camp will last 24 days and Al Akhdar training will take place in the morning and evening periods, in addition to iron training, recovery and video clips, as well as many friendly confrontations before returning to the Kingdom on August 15th.
The Spaniard Julien is the coach of the national team, national coach Hashem Al-Sharfa, team director Yasser Shahoor, administrator Sami Al-Fadl, technical analyst Youssef Al Yacoub and Hassan Al-Abdali as a physiotherapist. The list of players participating in the camp included 18 players: Hussein Al-Safwani, Ali Al-Khowildi, Sahel Baz, Ali Quraish, Maytham Abu Sarir, Attia Al-Harbi, Qassem Al-Turki, Muhammad Al-Darura, Hassan Al-Shiti, Daniel Schweikhat, Mahdi Al-Abbas, Sajjad Al-Fardan, Mahdi Saleh, Ahmed Al-Talib, Muhammad Al-Qaeed, Hussein Moyes, Ali Al-Maqqab, Abdullah Al-Marhun, and Hussein Freij, Hassan Al-Tariqi, Ahmed Al – Saeed and Javad Al-Abbas will join the roster after they finish their participation in the youth team, which is currently participating in the Asian Youth Championship.
It is noteworthy that according to the draw of the Asian Youth Championship, the Saudi Arabian team fell into the second group, next to the teams of Japan, Qatar, the Emirates, Iraq, Kuwait, and the teams of Bahrain, Iran, India, Korea and Uzbekistan entered the first group.
