Abdul Rahman Gharib, a wing of the Al Ahli club, has submitted a transfer request to his club’s management during the current summer Mercato under the loan system.
And reports have confirmed the player is close to joining Al-Nasr on a one-season loan.
However, Gharib is actively trying to stay in Jeddah to be closer to his family, signing with Al Ittihad under a credit system opposed by the Al Ahly administration. This coincided with news rumors that some Al Ahly influencers had moved into the club’s management to prevent or neglect the transfer of its players so that the team could return to the Prince Mohammed bin Salman Pro Cup.
On the other hand, Al Ahli fans have expressed anger at the administration’s decision to sign Uruguayan Robert Siboldi, who will take over next season, on a new one-season contract.
The Al-Ahli club, which refused this deal, justified this by saying that the coach failed to get the team out of the predicament he was in and led him to relegation to the first division, even if he took responsibility at a difficult moment .
Siboldi led Al Ahli in 7 matches in the last edition of the Prince Mohammed bin Salman Professional League where he managed to win one match, lose two matches and draw 4 matches.
