A video clip circulating on social media has raised doubts about the future of the Brazilian Mateos Pereira at the Al Hilal club.
According to this clip, translated into Arabic, a man identified as Alexander Pereira, the father of the professional Al-Hilali, appears and says: “It’s almost over, it’s just a short time before moving to the Botafogo club.”
This is in line with a press release published by ESPN saying that Mateos Pereira, who is currently in Brazil, recently removed his photos with Al-Hilal from his personal Instagram account.
The report revealed that the player felt uncomfortable with his presence at Al Hilal while he entered the interests of the Brazilian club Botafogo.
And ESPN reported that Al-Hilal was asked to turn the player down but asked for 20 million euros (108.8 million Brazilian rials), noting that Pereira expressed his admiration for the Botafogo club project.
Pereira is linked to Saudi Arabia’s Al Hilal contract, which is being extended until the summer of 2026, and has a market value of currently €11 million.
