Today, Arab League Secretary General Ahmed Aboul Gheit will pay an official two-day visit to Algeria in preparation for the upcoming Arab summit.
The Secretary General’s spokesman, Jamal Rushdie, said that the Secretary General is expected to meet with President Abdelmajid Tebboun as part of the forthcoming Algerian Presidency of the 31st Ordinary Summit, which Algeria will host in early November, for consultations on the general situation in the Arab countries.
The spokesman added that Abul Gheit will hold talks with Algerian Foreign Minister Ramtan Lamamra on Arab issues on the agenda of the upcoming summit, as well as issues related to the preparation of the summit.
