On behalf of His Royal Highness Prince Khalid Al Faisal, Adviser to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, Governor of the Mecca Region, His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Nahar bin Saud, Governor of Taif, Prince Faisal bin Khalid bin Abdulaziz Stable, crowned the Emirate of Mecca Cup after victory on horseback Kings Sleeper. The third closing ceremony of the first week of racing of the 2022 Taif season was held this afternoon at the King Khalid bin Abdulaziz Square in Taif.
The third ceremony included eight races of various categories and degrees for thoroughbred Arabian horses and thoroughbreds, including the eighth stage of the Emirates Cup of the Mecca Al-Mukarrama region, which brought together elite horses.
In a Saudi field a mile away, the Kings Sleeper won the cup for HRH Prince Faisal bin Khalid bin Abdulaziz.
At the same level, racing will continue next week at King Khalid bin Abdulaziz Square in Al-Hawiya, where the second week races will take place on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
