French President Emmanuel Macron said yesterday that Ukraine will have to negotiate with Russia at some point to try to end the war between the two countries.
Macron told Reuters during his visit to Romania that Ukrainian President Zelensky and Ukrainian officials would have to negotiate with Russia.
Macron arrived in Romania yesterday for a three-day tour of NATO’s southern flank, including Moldova, and then is likely to travel to Kyiv today (Thursday) to visit German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and Italian Prime Minister Mario Draghi.
“It is a great honor for France to be on the front line,” Macron said, addressing some 200 French soldiers gathered at NATO’s Mihail Kogalicano base, where his plane landed.
