His Excellency President of the Central African Economic and Monetary Community “CEMAC” Professor Daniel Ona Ando received today at the headquarters of the organization in the Republic of Equatorial Guinea His Excellency Adviser to the Royal Court, Mr. Ahmed bin Abdulaziz. Kattan in the presence of members of the organization.
During a meeting with members of the organization, His Excellency Counselor Kattan spoke about Saudi-African relations and ways to develop and strengthen them in various areas, emphasizing the desire of the Kingdom’s leadership to strengthen relations with him to serve common interests.
He also referred to the two summits that the Kingdom will host this year (the first Saudi-African summit) and (the fifth Arab-African summit) in Riyadh, God willing, stressing that the Saudi-African summit, which will be held for the first time, comes from from the Kingdom’s desire to strengthen partnership with the countries of the African continent.
His Excellency mentioned the Expo 2030 exhibition that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia intends to host in Riyadh in 2030, noting the declared support the Kingdom has received from African countries.
For his part, His Excellency President Ando expressed his greetings to the organization on the visit of His Excellency Chancellor Kattan, explaining that this is a high-level historic visit as he is the first Saudi Arabian official to visit, noting that what He expressed Excellency Chancellor, translating, noted the special relationship between the Kingdom and the countries of the organization, noting the organization’s welcome to the efforts being made by the Kingdom on the African continent.
Following the meeting, the organization issued a statement in which it confirmed that it welcomes the holding of two summits (the first Saudi-African summit and the fifth Arab-African summit).
The statement commends the Kingdom’s tireless efforts to strengthen its relationship with African countries and reaffirms its full support for Saudi Arabia’s hosting of Expo 2030 in Riyadh.
For his part, His Excellency Councilor Ahmed Kattan expressed gratitude and appreciation to the Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for this support, which comes from the good relations between the Kingdom and the members of the organization.
