China on Sunday launched the Shenzhou 14 manned spacecraft carrying three astronauts to the Tiangong space station for a six-month mission.
The three astronauts will work with the ground team to complete the assembly and construction of the Tiangong space station and its transformation from a single-module design to a three-module national space laboratory, Xinhua news agency reported.
The vehicle aboard the Long March 2-F launch vehicle was launched from the Jiuquan Space Center in northwest China, according to the China Manned Space Agency.
