In the province of Marsa Matruh in western Egypt, a painful incident occurred when 15 camels died after swallowing the remains of oil and oils.
A number of residents said they were surprised by the death of about 15 camels in the Western Desert, which, due to high temperatures and lack of water, ate oil leaked from an oil field pipeline owned by an oil company and died instantly.
They confirmed that the incident happened a few days ago when they noticed the decay of some of those camels, adding that they briefed members of the House of Representatives about the area in order to file an urgent request for a briefing and hold the responsible company accountable. They explained that the leaking oil could cause a new environmental disaster and the death of other animals, pointing out the need to remove it as soon as possible, as well as oblige oil companies not to dump their waste into the desert.
