Under the patronage and honor of His Royal Highness Prince Bandar bin Khalid Al Faisal, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Equestrian Authority and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Racing Club, the Kingdom is hosting the International Thoroughbred Arabian and Egyptian Cahila Horse Beauty Championships, will be launched in the second edition in a row next Wednesday and will continue from 25 to 25 May 29, 2022 AD at the Riyadh Exhibition and Conference Front in Riyadh under the leadership of the King Abdulaziz Thoroughbred Arabian Horse Center.
The Organizing Committee explained that the championship is held with pride in the history and heritage of the purebred Arabian horses, highlighting this ancient sport and the Kingdom’s efforts to promote it in local and international forums, noting that the championship is one of the most important Arabian equestrian championships in the region, which came in honor of the horse of King Abdulaziz – may his soul be in peace. And his best gifts to the kings of the world, including the Kahil halter, from which the moment of one of the founders of the royal horses falls, as he presented it to King George VI on the occasion of his coronation as king of the United Kingdom, and from her to the Queen of the Netherlands, when he gave her the mare “Kahila Jalabi” and “Hilah Sabila”, and among the 4 best mares presented to the King of Britain, the red mare “Heila Starik” born in 1927, and the mare “Dvina” – 1920 born blue mare “Hayla Krush”, given by King Abdulaziz to the famous Kirb Park Stud Lady Wentworth, Lady Blunt’s daughter from Britain.
The Committee indicated that the tournament will be held on the facade of Riyadh, which is located in close proximity to the King Khalid International Airport, in the center of a full-service indoor hall. The main exhibition hall contains 3 recreation areas, a hospitality area, an equestrian show area, a events and catering area. The duration of events lasts from 1 hour from 13:00 to 23:00.
