Today, on the sidelines of the First International Conference on Sports Sciences at the University of Jeddah, a meeting was held between the deans of the faculties of sports sciences and the heads of the departments of physical education and sports sciences of Saudi universities; The event was held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Jeddah in the presence of His Excellency the President of the University, Dr. Adnan bin Salem Al Humaidan, as well as a number of deans and scholars.
The meeting discussed the vision of colleges and departments of sports sciences in developing the physical education sector in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in line with the vision of 2030, as well as exploring ways of cooperation between colleges and departments of sports sciences in universities in Saudi Arabia. The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, in connection with the study of modern trends in the field of scientific research in the specialty and consideration of admission of colleges and departments of sports science of the Kingdom for membership in the Association of Colleges, Departments and Institutes of Arab Physical Education, is part of the Federation of Arab Universities, based in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
The meeting shed light on the reality and ambition of postgraduate programs in colleges and departments of sports sciences in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, as well as on the path of cooperation between colleges and departments of sports sciences in the universities of the Kingdom with sports clubs and federations and civil society institutions involved in sports.
