Yesterday, Friday, Manchester City unveiled a monument to Sergio Aguero to mark the tenth anniversary of the historic goal scored by the retired striker that gave City their first league title.
The Argentine striker returned to Al Ittihad Stadium yesterday Friday, where City honored their historic goalscorer with a statue depicting the moment Aguero tore his shirt in celebration after scoring a killer goal against Queens Park. Rangers in the last round of the English Premier League in the 2011-2012 season.
Aguero said during the unveiling of his statue: “Honestly, it’s very beautiful for me to see myself 10 years ago, very moving.. In these 10 years, I was able to win many titles and I was able to help the club become one of the most important clubs in the world. It’s something special.”
Aguero’s statue was created by Scottish artist Andy Scott.
