GTA 6 is one of the most-anticipated AAA games in recent years. Gamers have been waiting patiently for years for it to come out. Regular fans have to wait for an official announcement. However, dedicated community members are always looking through the news and game files already out there to learn more about the upcoming game.
The notorious September 2022 leaks gave fans a solid base for their theories and guesses, and every prediction since then has been based on them.
Even though there are some genuine, false, and debunked theories about the game on the internet, they are far from over. Insiders are still digging deep to find out more, and in the past few weeks, they have made some significant discoveries.
This article talks about the five biggest GTA 6 leaks that insiders, game data miners, and famous people have shared in recent years.
1) Holiday 2024 deadline
Grand Theft Auto 6’s release date is the most recent and important piece of information about the game. On March 5, 2023, a trusted Rockstar Games insider named Tez2 (Twitter: @TezFunz2) posted on GTAForums that the studio’s internal deadline for the game’s release was late 2024 or early 2025:
He also talked about some internal problems and disagreements that could affect when the game is announced. Still, Tez2 said that the company’s top management was working hard to get the game out on time.
2) 50 Cent’s Vice City post
Even though 50 Cent is not an insider, he recently made headlines with two posts about Grand Theft Auto: Vice City.
Even though these may look like typical “thank you for being a fan” posts, readers should remember that GTA 6’s story is almost certainly based on the famous Vice City. Interestingly, the rapper has worked with Rockstar Games to make music for their games. Both of these tweets were up for a few days before the rapper deleted them, which made fans even more interested.
3) RAGE 9 engine implementation

The latest version of the Rockstar Advanced Game Engine, version 9, is said to be in GTA 6, which will give the game very realistic physics. On February 26, 2023, a well-known game data miner named Gaming Detective (Twitter: @that1detectiv3) leaked footage of the upcoming game’s water physics.
Aleix Venturas (Twitter: @AleixVenturas) and Rockstar Mag’ (Twitter: @Rockstar Mag) were the first to leak the video. They said they had information about the RAGE 9 engine and what it could do.
4) Leaked “world activities”
The GTA 6 footage that got out early showed what the game would be like when it came out. Fans are still looking through these to learn as much as they can. However, on February 13, 2023, a Twitter user named KARIM (Twitter: 374 Karim) said that the game would include basketball, yard sales, bowling, pawn shops, gyms, restaurants, and several other activities from around the world.
Grand Theft Auto 5 has fewer side activities than its predecessors, disappointing fans who had played the game before. Even though Rockstar Games hasn’t confirmed the claims yet, fans are hopeful that the game will be better than it is now.
5) Take-Two Interactive’s earnings call hinted
Take-Two's earnings call is over. Here are all the highlights related to Rockstar Games:
– GTA Online will continue to get new DLCs
– GTA 6 will still likely release in 2024-2025
– RDR2 & GTA 5 exceeded expectations
– RDR2 sales on par with GTA 5#RockstarGames pic.twitter.com/9qRFYEzQlr— Detective (@that1detectiv3) February 6, 2023
Shortly after the earnings call for Take-Two Interactive on February 6, 2023, Gaming Detective said the new game would probably come out in 2024 or 2025.
The company has promised GTA Online players that there will be new updates soon, up until the official release of the sequel. So, the multiplayer game has been around for almost ten years and is near the end of its life. Based on these factors, the data miner predicted that Grand Theft Auto 6 might come out in 2024 or 2025.
