An earthquake measuring 5 on the Richter scale hit Van province in eastern Turkey today.
Turkey’s Emergency and Disaster Management Authority said in a statement that the earthquake, with a source in the Toshba region, occurred at a depth of 18.36 km below the surface of the earth.
There were no immediate reports of any material or human losses caused by the earthquake.
