Russia’s Federal Security Service reported on Saturday that three mortar shells were fired from Ukraine on the territory of the Rostov region in southern Russia.
The Federal Security Service said in a statement that the border guard department recorded that it opened fire from Ukraine and that three 120-mm artillery shells fell on Russian territory near the Milerovsky district of the Rostov region.
In the statement, it was stated that the bombing did not cause any injury or damage and an investigation was launched into the incident.
This comes at a time when Russian forces continue to conduct a special military operation launched Thursday to protect the Donbass region, which borders the Rostov region, to disarm Ukraine and remove threats to Russia’s security from Ukrainian territory.
