This tournament is the first tournament of the Arab Football Association in the 2022/2023 season as the Arab Federation aims to develop futsal in the Arab world. The first edition of the tournament was held in Cairo in 1998 with teams from Egypt, Libya, Morocco, Jordan, Algeria, Palestine and Sudan.
